According to recent trends in economic growth, sports fans won’t be the only ones winning at their favorite sports stadiums. Sports stadiums and arenas, across the country, are being credited for the economic growth of their surrounding communities. Stadiums like the US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis and Golden 1 Stadium in Sacramento are changing the norm for the subtle impact other large scale projects have had. Some are sceptical though as to if stadiums will have a significant enough impact. Journalist and Blogger Neil deMause said, “There are an awful lot of economic studies that have tried to find stadiums and arenas that have repaid the public for nine-figure construction costs, and it’s never happened.” One thing is for sure, these stadiums are hoping to build a better future.
