The National Hockey League is cutting through Forbes Sports Money Index after revealing that the average team is now worth nearly 600 million dollars. The SMI is, “the definitive ranking of the sports business world’s most influential teams, athletes, brands and agencies, and it updates throughout the year to account for the latest financial data.”

According to recent analysis, teams like the New York Rangers, Montreal Canadiens, Toronto Maple Leafs and the St. Louis Blues have all moved up and are ranking in the top 200. With these NHL teams becoming some of the most wealthy in all of sports we’ll have to wait and see what goals they reach next.
