Initially, there were two offerings for small and medium businesses: Suitcase Fusion, a desktop app for font management, and Teamsync, a similar app configured for use with Teams. Connect Fonts combines the features of Suitcase Fusion and Teamsync into one product. Customers who previously used Suitcase Fusion or Teamsync can now access all the team sharing and cloud functionality of Connect Fonts without any extra charges, using their existing logins.

On the enterprise side, there was Universal Type Server (UTS), a traditional on-premise software installed on a custom server and managed by IT professionals. The Universal Type Client is a desktop app for end users. Many UTS customers have already migrated to Connect Fonts, which now includes enterprise functionality such as single sign-on, analytics, and font licensing.

To transition the remaining UTS customers, new features like advanced permissions will be introduced. The advantage for Connect customers is that they will have access to these enterprise-level features at no additional cost. Currently, Connect customers can already find single sign-on, analytics, and licensing available in their Connect admin area.
