This year’s EAA Airventure air show and exhibit brought together the world’s leading aviation brands. The event, nestled in Oshkosh, Wisc., is described by Steve Gustafson, a member of AeroShell Aerobatic Team, as, “the greatest aviation event in the world.”
MarketScale was on site to see the more than 10,000 planes on display and 900 exhibitors showing off the latest advancements in aviation technology for pilots.
“For many years it seemed like avionics in general never really changed, but I’d say within the last 10-15 years it’s totally changed.” Mike Kennedy, star of Discovery Channel’s “Airplane Repo” said.
This expo helps pilots better outfit their planes with technology that not only makes flying easier, but also more enjoyable.
Aspen Avionics proved to be very popular among many attendees this year. Its digital displays with synthetic vision showed how useful these innovations in technology can be to pilots of any age.
The Airventure expo will continue being at the forefront of avionics, but no matter the advancements—some veteran pilots like Michael Lyon will not forget the roots of their passions.
“The art of flying hasn’t changed… the technology won’t quit, but the art of flying has to stay there,” he said.
