SpaceX is reportedly planning to expand a South Texas facility that will help to refurbish used rockets for key Mars missions. After a failed launch and explosion in Florida, the Texas facility was delayed. With projects back on track, SpaceX is angling to construct a “super facility” in Boca Chica, Texas on a much larger scale than initially planned. SpaceX and local representatives say the facility will boost job growth and help send humans to Mars, SpaceX’s chief long-term goal.
