Driverless cars are on the rise. Not only will it affect the everyday life of consumers, but it will have a huge impact on the industry as a whole.
- Car sales will decline, but not go away completely. With more free time and ability to do things such as watch a movie and even work while in a driverless car, current car designs will need to change completely to support more technology.
- Since driverless cars will hardly ever need to park, the use of parking businesses will drop significantly. But once the parking lots and garages are gone, the land can be turned into living spaces.
- Driverless cars will be much safer. Without accidents, there is less need for auto insurance. But if they do get in accidents, insurance agencies will still be needed to regulate.
