While it is true that platforms like OpenSea have made it slightly easier for the general public to create NFTs, the high cost of it, the initial cost of actually listing an NFT, is prohibitive and a huge barrier to entry.
So, the only way to find out if NFTs are worth pursuing or are just another fad — or, worse, another red herring to waste your time — is to tests test things out, trial-and-error style. The expensive nature of getting involved with at high fees and the high value of Ethereum right now does not allow for that experimentation. It’s too expensive.
