British internet start-up Improbable will use $502 million of its cash horde to fund a new game called Scavengers, created by Midwinter Entertainment. Japan internet company Softbank provided the cash that Improbable will distribute. The Scavenger game itself is based on the concept where teams of players compete to escape from a hostile environment. This is the first time Improbable has funded game development, and they plan to do more in the future.
