“I would have to say, finally, we’re seeing video systems leveraging the network for distribution and control.
Using new technology, we can distribute live, lossless, high-definition video over IP. That’s not over a parallel network with dedicated cables and switches.
We’re not just sharing conduits and closets with the network. We’re using the actual network.
That means DIC camera control devices can also send commands to network-connected lights or displays. It means cameras can receive commands from applications driven by machine vision and AI.
We have clients who are already figuring out how to use our SDI-enabled cameras in ways we’ve never imagined. Once a device is on the network, there’s so much that you can do with that.”
