Melissa Parsons, Director of Marketing for ENTOUCH, shared an exciting strategy to honor National Recycling Week. Her tip? Buy nothing. The Buy Nothing movement offers an excellent platform for people to contribute to recycling efforts. It allows individuals to declutter their homes and pass on items they no longer need but could be helpful to someone else.

Promoting a sharing economy reduces the demand for new products, decreasing production waste and conserving natural resources. Moreover, keeping goods in circulation within local communities minimizes the carbon footprint associated with transporting used goods. Parson’s said she finds items around the house that still have a purpose, and she places these items on the Buy Nothing Facebook page so people who want the item can request it.
