A study published by NASA Langley Research Center said, “The Digital Twin, integrates ultra-high fidelity simulation with [a] vehicle’s on-board integrated vehicle health management system, maintenance history and all available historical and fleet data to mirror the life of its flying twin and enable unprecedented levels of safety and reliability.”

Currently, companies like Tesla are seeing the future of digital twins with their ability to monitor vehicles performance in real time and growing into predictive measures to prevent road accidents from happening.
