You don’t have to live in a mansion to enjoy the services of your own personal butler. Now all you have to do is simply stay at a Marriott.

Amazon.com has announced a new partnership with Marriott International to increase guest access to the Alexa ecosystem through the voice-controlled Echo.

This vocal interface will be implemented to help provide numerous amenities, such as ordering room service, requesting housekeeping, or even speaking with the concierge to request dinner recommendations.

The rollout will begin this summer at select Marriott properties. Amazon will also offer the service to other hotel chains via invitation in the near future.

This is another effort by Amazon to increase its user base for its Echo devices. While Amazon Prime members spend, on average, $1300/year, Echo owners spend an average of $1,700 per year.

There’s definitely value to be gained by having a personal assistant, even when you’re not at home.
