50 million Americans are affected by Tinnitus, commonly known as ringing in the ears. Cleared by the FDA, a new tech called The Levo System can relieve symptoms associated with the condition.

The tech retrains the ears to “ignore” the ringing sounds by mimicking the ringing sound. Sufferers listen to a simulated noise through an iPod as they sleep. Over time, the brain becomes more accustomed to the sound.

Those who have undergone the treatment say they’ve experienced a reduction while some saw significant improvement.
