Murray and Roberts Water, a South African water treatment company, just released an innovative wastewater treatment facility demo. The site is the first of it’s kind in the country.
It is designed to eliminate odor, produce 30% less sludge, use 30% less energy and has a 50-75% smaller footprint It uses fixed-bed activated sludge technology and biomodules that are designed to fit into customized biological reactors. Performance testing will begin on the site in May.
