In the Healthcare industry, it’s becoming more and more apparent that LHS or Learning Health Systems will continue to lean in the direction of dependency on cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence. In fact, VP of Chilmark Research, Kenneth Kleinberg told Healthcare IT News that, “Learning Health Systems continually improve by collecting data and processing it to inform better decision making. As the amount and complexity of big data continues to increase, organizations are challenge to fully take advantage of it.” Hence, the better the data that the AI systems can gather, the greater the insights. However, there is still the reality that hospitals still face lots of obstacles ahead as the healthcare industry remains to be slow when it comes to advancing their workflow processes despite already having the necessary data to be successful. Whether they address this barrier or not is going to really determine how fast AI adoption can be a reality in their workplace soon.
