The IoT ecosystem is accelerating, with innovation moving forward rapidly. It has applications in many industries, and those use cases will be at the forefront of the 2021 Works With Conference hosted by Silicon Labs.

On Engineering Experience, host Tyler Kern spoke with Keith Nesrsta, Regional Sales Manager at Silicon Labs, and Paragon Innovations CEO Mike Wilkinson about what to expect at this year’s virtual event.

Nesrsta first explained what the company does. “We’re an IoT company that builds semiconductors products connecting the world. We cover the entire IoT market.”

Paragon’s relationship with Silicon Labs is a partnership. “They make all the cool parts we need to make products for consumer and medical products,” Wilkinson added.

Nesrsta previewed the content, saying there will be “60 different classes that focus on smart homes, smart industrial IoT, and smart cities.

“There are different levels of courses, 100 to 300. We’ll have keynotes every day and partners like Paragon teaching classes.”

One significant focus for this year’s conference will be security. “The goal is to drive understanding and education and for ecosystems to converge to support adoption and the production of connected devices that are really secure,” Nesrsta said.

Wilkinson noted Paragon engineers would be online, ready to answer questions for attendees. “I’m looking forward to seeing all the technology available,” he commented.
