Nestle, the world’s largest coffee company, is reportedly close to acquiring Starbucks’ bagged coffee and bottled drink operation. The deal could bring in $3.8 billion for Starbucks, and would not include the sale of any of the company’s 28,000 cafes.

Nestle is also the world’s largest packaged food company and could begin selling Starbucks products alongside its other licensed products that include General Mills, Haagen-Dazs and Hershey. Neither company has commented on the sale, but it is expected to be announced on Monday.
