Watch: Chili’s Suffers From Data Breach

Chili’s, part of the Brinker international restaurant group, announced it was the victim of a data breach this weekend. Brinker said that some customer credit and debit card information had been compromised, but no social security numbers or birth dates had been stolen because the group does not collect that information from diners.

The restaurant group is advising customers to monitor their bank accounts for unusual activity and believes the attack happened between March and April of this year. According to MarketWatch, at least 15 retailers have been victims of data breaches in since the beginning of 2017, including Sears, KMart, Whole Foods and Under Armour.
