Dine Brands Global is preparing to shutter between 60 and 80 Applebee’s restaurants as it reworks its finances and image. Despite the closures, Dine Brands aims to open 10 to 15 restaurants overseas. The company will also close 30 to 40 IHOPs while planning to open up to 100 more in the United States. Dine Brands Global reported $330 million in losses in 2017 and is struggling to keep afloat.
