Watch: Tesla to Offer Free Chargers in Anticipation of Model 3 Production Acceleration

Tesla is offering free wall chargers in residential and office locations in anticipation of more Model 3s on the road. It’s not clear how much Tesla is planning to expend on the program, but interested locations can apply online for a charger. Once accepted, locations receive support from installation to training. These private chargers won’t appear on public charging maps. For now, it isn’t clear how close the Model 3 is to reaching mass production but expanding infrastructure is an undeniable asset.
