IOT devices are building a brighter future, but in order to do that they needs batteries with enough power to keep up. According to research firm Gartner, by the year 2020 there are expected to be over 20.4 billion connected devices that will need to be powered and the demand for bigger and better batteries will only grow with it. With a variety of new devices being created every day, there is a constant need to solve the problem of powering these IOT gadgets. Wearable technology is looking to be the biggest challenge to original equipment manufacturers. With smaller form factors come a number of new challenges for OEM’s to explore. Hopefully, OEM’s can keep up with the fast moving IOT sector and make sure our favorite devices have enough power to get through the toughest of tasks.
