Google’s cloud-based business software, G Suite, has earned 4 million customers and nets $1 billion per quarter. The suite of productivity apps rivals Microsoft’s Office 365 but Google has a ways to go to truly compete. In the past two years, G Suite has doubled its customer base. It’s still dwarfed by Microsoft’s 120 million business subscribers. Office 2019 will require upgrading to Windows 10, a forceful requirement that may just push customers to find an alternative.
