A 26-year-old man from the Congo attempted to enter the U.S. via Washington Dulles International Airport with a French passport last week. His attempt was foiled by new facial recognition technology that has been deployed by several U.S. airports.

United States officials said the incident was the first identity scammer detected with the new facial recognition technology. The service is now being used in more than one dozen airports, according to NBC News.
