It may not come as a surprise, but if there was any remaining doubt that the educational experience is now a heavily technology-based one, ISTE 2019 sought to silence those questions.
Immersive technology, including augmented and virtual reality, showed where learning is heading in the future and where it stands at present. The influence of these products arechanging the way students learn and professionals train. It is also opening up a new sector of jobs around the industry.
School safety has also become more important than ever, and solutions were evident at this year’s conference.
Overall, approximately 15,000 visitors attended ISTE this year. Programming ranged from conventional classroom tips to a trip to a Philadelphia esports arena.
