The school classroom varies not only in situation but in appearance all over the world, but there is one thing that is consistent, the needs and resources continue to evolve. The problem with modern education is that innovation isn’t a priority so lessons and approach tend to lean on the stale side as student’s minds remain stagnant. In fact, Centennial School District’s Director of Technology and Innovation, AJ Juliani, shared in a recent blog post, “Choice gives students the ability to go above and beyond our curricular limitations…try to give as much choice as possible and watch your students innovate.”

It has been said that as you look at the educational process, student-centered learning approaches that enable the student a reasonable amount of control over their education end up succeeding in the long haul. Of course, many teachers fear that with a new approach may come a distracted focus on portions of education that the student won’t be tested on therefore not preparing them fully for testing in which both them and the teacher are judged vigorously.

Overall, it looks to be that as years go by, innovation in this process will be necessary to continue to stimulate curiosity and creativity in the educational environment.
