For the past 15 years Matt worked on the dark side of the camera. From commercials to feature films, from music videos to documentaries and lots of photography in between he rounded himself out as a traveling cinematographer. Small crews (or even solo cinematographer sometimes) is important when you are backpacking through the wilderness for 8 days in search of a giant elk past his prime with some of the most fit individuals on the planet. These nature soaked, sweat drenched stories are some of his favorites to tell. Going to the place where big gear can’t reach, where he must rely on my camera operation to tell the story because lighting and stabilization will only slow you down, and you have to keep up.
